blah blah blah
been feeling a little blah lately, kinda almost depressed. Combine that with a bit of a cold and that’s a great mix. Monday was the one year anniversary of my brother’s death and I kept myself occupied to not really think about it. I went to work on Tuesday and had a late night closing shift and it was busy. I got stressed out from one of my coworkers who kept jumping into my stuff to try and help me, but it just messed me up further and confused me. Got home mentally and phsyically exhausted and went to sleep. Got up in the morning not feeling “right” and called in. Called in the next two days as well and just didn’t do much. Played on the computer, watched tv, ate a lot, but nothing really made me happy. Just kinda in a bummed out mood. I feel bad for Chris. He keeps trying to get me to do stuff like go out for lunch (he was off from work), but I just wanted to be a hermit. He’s going through something similar, his partner Don passed away many years ago on the same day, but he is handling it better than I am. He’s been puttering in the yard to distract himself.
Oh well, I don’t know why I’m writing this, maybe it’s just therapeutic. Thanks to everyone for your support (especially you Chris, my loving husband)

One year anniversary
Well, today is the one year anniversary of my brother Billy's murder. I spent the day doing things to keep my mind off of it. It started with driving my parents and my aunt to the airport at 7:30 in the morning to send them back up to New York for the summer. Got home and played on the computer and caught up on my TiVo. Around 3:00, Chris and I headed to the Disney/MGM studios to meet up with some friends from out of town. We had an early dinner at the 50's Prime Time Cafe (I love that place). Chris kept getting yelled at for elbows on the table. After dinner, we left and were going to head to Downtown Disney to wander and window shop, but decided to go to the Mall at Millennia instead. Did a lap around the mall and visited the Apple store and dreamed. Got a text from my friend Melissa to remind us of the birthday dinner for Yari at Bahama Breeze, so we headed there. Chris and I were still full from our previous dinner, but had a drink and an appetizer. Chris was getting a headache and I was a bit tired, so we left after about 2 hours. Got home around 10:30 or so and am checking my email then heading to bed. A boring day, but I needed it.

Golf day with mom
Hidden Mickey
Mom and I had a day together playing golf at Disney's Magnolia course. Well actually she played, I drove the cart. We had a 10:09am tee time, but arrived early and they let us start early (9:45am) . We finished around 1:30 os so, but would have finished earlier if the threesome in front of us had gone faster. We were hungry when we were done and wandered around the resort trying to find a place to eat. We gave up and I drove us ober to the Widw World of Sports and the All Star Cafe. The place was empty except for one other family. It also helped that I get a 50% discount on food and drink (including alcohol) at the place. Overall, mom had a great time and I get points for spending time with her.

A TALKING CARTOON MALE TURTLE IN A BIKINI TOP
I was coordinating the Seas tonight and one of my cast members called me on the radio that they had a guest with a complaint about Turtle Talk with Crush. On my way there, I kept wondering what they would complain about; having a 20 minute wait? Crush didn't talk to my child out of the other 40 that were in the theater? When I arrive, I find 2 women by the entrance, both somewhere around their late 30's or so. I introduce myself and ask them about their concern. They tell me that they enjoyed the show and how much they tell others how wonderful the show is, but tonight they had a complaint about it. At one point in the show, Crush puts on a womens bikini top and says he found it at the beach and didn't know what it was. THe kids tell him its a bathing suit for girls and he gets embarassed. He then says "I have one more question 'Does this make me look fat?'" The women were upset about that question becasue it causes young girls with body image issues to feel bad. The women said they were women rights activists and were very concerned that we were sending the wrong message to children. My answer to them was "IT'S A TALKING CARTOON MALE TURTLE IN A BIKINI TOP". It was so hard to not just laugh in their faces. They told me they wanted that line removed from the show. I just told them to voice their concern to Guest Relations. They just going on and on about how it makes young girls feel bad about their body image. I just repeating "it's a male talking cartoon turtle".
Stupid people just shouldn't be allowed to exist.
